Great Wall

The Great Wall can add up to 100% extra defense. Larger empires need more wall to stay covered.

Construction

Assign builders to the wall. Every 25 builders complete 1 wall unit per month (civilizations can change worker needs).

Base cost per wall unit:

• 150 gold
• 15 wood
• 2 iron
• 5 wine

Some civilizations change this (for example Chinese wall is mostly wine and needs fewer workers). See Civilizations.

Upkeep

Wall can deteriorate each month. Keep some builders on the wall even after it looks complete, especially if your land grows.
